What is laser tattoo removal?
The advances made in laser technology allow people to completely remove their unwanted tattoos. While it may take more than just a few sessions, the results are truly remarkable. More importantly, the procedure does not leave any scars, doesn’t brake the skin or cause skin or hair discoloration.
Does tattoo removal hurt?
Laser tattoo removal typically does involve some level of pain, but it is bearable. At our clinic we use Zimmer Cryo 6 which is intended to minimize pain and thermal injury during laser treatments. It also provides temporary topical anesthetic relief.
Will laser leave a scar?
When proper laser protocols are followed it is very uncommon for a client to scar from laser treatment, however, if the tattoo already features scarring, expect that to remain.
Are there side effects?
Most common side effects are: redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, scabs, blistering. All of these side effects are temporary if all of the proper protocols are used based on the tattoo and client’s skin tone.
How long do I have to wait between treatments?
A minimum of six weeks between laser sessions, and 8 wks for darker complexions.
